Today, We Remember — International Bereaved Mother’s Day

Grief has no timeline. For mothers who have lost a child, the world may keep moving, but time often stands still in their hearts. Today, on International Bereaved Mother’s Day, we stand with the women who carry unimaginable loss with quiet strength, honoring the love that never fades.

This day is not just about mourning — it’s about remembering. It’s about saying their names, sharing their stories, and creating space for healing. No mother should feel alone in her grief.

If you know a mother who is grieving, let her know you remember. A message. A hug. A moment of silence. It all matters.

To the mothers whose arms are empty but whose hearts are full of love — we see you. We remember with you.

Last night we prepared and served the meal for Community Night at Prevention Point. It was in memory of my son Greg.
Thank you to our cooking volunteers Ellen, Pat and Greg. Big thanks to our volunteers in serving Luke, Jess, Bob, Kyle and the medical students from Drexel. And my partner in crime Ivette. We could not do this without you.
We served over 200 people.

A heartfelt thank you to Meghan from Nazareth Academy High School for choosing to support SMOC Maternity Home in your service project—and for also including Declan’s Socks For The Streets Socks For The Streets. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference.

Thanks to these donations, we’ll be able to support roughly 25 individuals who are leaving treatment and entering a recovery house—providing them with the essentials they need to start their next chapter.

We’re especially grateful to SMOC for always thinking of us and sharing resources that strengthen our mission. We truly believe in the power of collaboration—when young people get involved and organizations come together, we’re able to reach and uplift even more lives.

Together, we’re stronger—and together, we make change happen.
